Privacy

Ofarwiseis built privacy-first, and this notice is written to be read — not endured. It explains, plainly, what stays on your machine, what this website does and doesn’t collect, and the small amount of information the app needs to license itself.

Your prep stays on your machine

The Ofarwise desktop app is local-first. Your CV, your notes, the answers you draft, and your practice sessions are stored on your own computer — in a local database on your device. They are not uploaded to us, and the app works offline. We cannot see your prep, because it never leaves your machine.

What this website collects

This website is intentionally quiet. We use cookieless Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. That means:

• No cookies.
• No accounts, sign-up, or login on the website.
• No tracking pixels or advertising trackers.
• No email capture or contact forms.
• No personal profiles built about you.

Purchasing happens inside the app, not on this site, so this website never handles your payment details.

What the app collects to license itself

To run your free trial and your paid pass, the Ofarwiseapp needs to know who an activation belongs to and which device it is on. For that — and only that — the app collects:

• Your email address, verified with a one-time code, so your licence is tied to you and can be recovered.
• A device identifier, so we can apply the device limit fairly and stop a single licence being shared without limit.
• Your subscription and trial status (for example, whether you are on the free trial or hold an active pass, and when it ends).

This licensing data is stored in our app backend (hosted on Supabase). Payments are processed by Stripe; Ofarwisenever sees or stores your full card details. We use this information solely to operate licensing — verifying your trial, unlocking your pass, and supporting you — not to advertise to you or to build a profile.

Seeing or deleting your data

You can ask us what licensing data we hold for your email, and you can ask us to delete it. Because your interview prep lives only on your device, you delete that yourself by removing it in the app or uninstalling. For anything held in the licensing backend, email support@ofarwise.com from the address tied to your licence and we will action it.

We don’t sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share data only with the service providers that make Ofarwisework — Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for the licensing backend — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service.
